Biography

I am Valeria Vergara, biologist and English-Spanish scientific and technical translator, based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I grew up in Argentina, where I completed my junior year of Biology at the University of Buenos Aires. In 1988 I moved to Ontario, Canada, to continue studying Biology, aided by a Canadian International Development Agency full scholarship. I have an extensive scientific trajectory, have published several papers in refereed journals, and have written articles for the general public, in both English and Spanish.
